Aventine Hill/Orange Garden; This is a great place to watch the sunset. Bring some wine and overlook the city; Has iconic “keyhole” St Peter’s view. Check opening & closing times for the Christmas season online!
This is one of the most famous art museums in Europe and a must see while you are there. You should book your tickets in advance (probably at least a month early to be safe).
This is truly a hidden gem and not fully discovered by tourists yet! Great art experience with quiet atmosphere and not too terribly crowded. Probably don’t need to book in advance (but feel free to book online to be safe). A personal favorite of Rome connoisseur Anneliese Taggart.
This event speaks for itself. Luckily you will be able to see this lovely sight over the terrace during the wedding!
Take your time in St. Peter’s Basilica! Go there early (~7:30am) to beat the crowds for a better experience. Confession and Mass are also practically always available. For only ~10€ you can go up to the coupla. Get your workout in for the day and see a beautiful view after!

This is a must see area in Rome. Beautiful plaza, great neighborhood with winding streets, little shops, and restaurants to walk around. Stop and see the Trevi Fountain (bring your coins!).

"My favorite thing to do is go in the evening / night, grab a bottle of wine and drink it (legal here!) and walk around to see the sights in the evening." -Anneliese Taggart, Rome connoisseur
Via Del Corso; Historic and well-known viewpoint. Also one of the most famous shopping streets in Rome. Luckily, you will be able to see this beautiful viewpoint from the terrace of our wedding!
Church of Gesú - Thought of as 'heaven on earth.' A must see while you are here.
"The Church of the Gesù is the mother church of the Society of Jesus, a Catholic religious order."
" Begun in 1568, the project was important enough for Michelangelo to offer his services, reportedly at no charge."
Other basilicas to see: St. Paul Outside the Walls (one of my absolute favs but not super convenient to get to without car), St. John Lateran, St. Mary Major (papal basilicas)
There are always people around eating and drinking in this area. If you are looking for a night out on the town you have found the spot. More winding cobblestone streets, often many people hanging out & live music at Monumento a Trilussa.
Very modern atmosphere and known to have the best carbonara in Rome.
