The ceremony and reception will take place in the Texas Hill Country. We have arranged a hotel block as well as transportation to/from the Sonesta Hotel Bee Cave and the venue, which is a mere five minutes away.
How should I plan on traveling to the venue?
While the gate will remain open for the duration of the event, access to the Moore residence is via a long, single-car driveway which presents a safety hazard if multiple cars were to arrive/depart at the same time. To manage this, shuttle busses will transport guests staying at the Sonesta Hotel Bee Cave to/from the Moore residence.
NOTE: BUSSES HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO LEAVE THE HOTEL PROMPTLY AT 6:00PM so make sure to get on one by then!
For guests not staying at the Sonesta, you will need to take an Uber/other ride share provider as parking will NOT be available at the Moore residence. Be sure to arrive between 5:45pm - 6:15pm, as the ceremony will start promptly at 6:30pm. Attendants will be in place to manage traffic control.
What should I wear?
We are requesting black-tie optional so if you own a tuxedo, now is the time to wear it! To note, as the ceremony and reception are to take place outdoors, on the lawn, we strongly recommend wearing comfortable shoes (or bringing something to change into should your feet require relief.)
What will the weather be like?
September is one of the best times to visit Austin as daytime temperatures hover around +/- 80 degrees and fall to +/- 70 during the evenings. Days are dry and humidity is low.
Should I rent a car?
The Sonesta is roughly 25 min from the airport. We’ve found that the cost to/from the airport is nearly the same as renting a car for the entire weekend.
