Cate and Will met during their tenth grade year at Canton Academy. Cate's brother, Joseph, was good friends with Will and his brother Thomas, who all attended Christ Covenant School. When Will and his brother transferred to Canton Academy, Joseph did not hesitate to set up Cate and Will as a pair. Cate and Will's lockers happened to be right next to each other, so they gradually began speaking to each other in the hallway. Cate and Will spent their first dates together going hunting and hanging out with their brothers. At 15 years old, they began dating and seeing each other on a regular basis. Cate and Will took separate paths upon graduating high school. Will decided to stay in Madison to start his construction business while Cate went off to Delta State University to become a Registered Dietitian. Though the separation was difficult, they remained together. Will proposed to Cate on January 21st of 2023 and they plan to start their life together close to home.
