When is the RSVP deadline?
We kindly ask for all RSVPs and dinner selections by the 13th of April.
Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will take place at the same venue - no event-hopping necessary! Please reference your invitation for the specific location.
When should I arrive for the ceremony?
Due to unpredictable Louisville traffic, please try to arrive no later than 5:15 for the 5:30 ceremony. Besides, you won’t want to miss the live music beforehand!
Will the ceremony and/or reception be outdoors or indoors?
All day-of events are planned for outdoors. If the weather takes an unpredictable turn, all events will be “weather-proofed” by moving indoors at the event site.
What can I expect for weather?
Any Kentuckian knows May weather can be a gamble, but you can generally expect a low of 56 degrees to a high of 78 degrees Fahrenheit, rain or shine.
What should I wear?
This will be a formal event! Come dressed for a ceremony that’s taking place in grass while the events to follow will take place on structured flooring.
Ladies: daytime formal wear. Think pastel/floral ankle or tea-lengthed dresses, skirts and pantsuits. Pick shoes accordingly!
Gentlemen: spring/summer suits and colorful ties/bow ties to match the floral festivities!
I will be driving to the event - where will I be able to park?
Due to limited parking spaces, we have booked valet service for our guests’ ease and convenience. Your vehicle will be parked on site in a nearby field.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? When is the latest I can book?
For convenience and comfort, a block of hotel rooms have been reserved for our guests at the Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Northeast. Hotel rooms are first come, first serve. Please reserve your room no later than the13th of April.
Please call the hotel at 502.423.0018 and reference the “Gardner-Hamilton Wedding” for a discounted price.
I’m booking a room at the recommended hotel. Will transportation be provided?
Yes - all guests who book a room at the preferred hotel will receive an Uber voucher code in their welcome gift bags. TO USE: Please download the Uber phone app and enter the given code. Congrats - you’ve scored a free ride to and from the event!
What is the wedding day timeline?
5:30 - wedding ceremony
6:00 - cocktail hour - music, hors d’oeuvres and specialty cocktails
7:00 - reception - plated dinner and open bar
Midnight - newlywed send-off
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes! All day-of events and locations are accessible by wheelchair.
How will I communicate day-of health and safety measures?
We will follow Louisville’s COVID-19 requirements during all day-of events.
Can I bring a gift to the wedding?
There will be a designated table for gifts brought to the event. Although your presence is the best present we could ask for, we certainly appreciate any and all gifts to celebrate our love
Can I bring a date?
Due to limited seating and plated meals, we are at capacity, so we cannot accommodate additional guests. We can only accommodate those specifically addressed and provided “companion” spaces on certain RSVP cards.
Are children invited?
We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only day. This decision will allow all of our guests to enjoy a fantastic night of food, drink, music, and company. Thank you for respecting our wishes.
How will the couple communicate last-minute changes to your guests if need be?
Please review our wedding website for any unpredictable or unforeseen changes.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend. What should I do to inform the couple?
We’re sorry to hear that! Please respond by letting the bride or groom know directly or by selecting “decline” in the online RSVP portal or on your physical rsvp card.
I still have questions! What’s the best way to ask?
If we didn’t answer your question above, please reach out to the bride or groom directly.
