What should I wear?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. The most important thing to us is that everyone in attendance feels their best, so wear something that you love and can hit the dance floor in!

Where should I park?

The botanical garden has their own private parking lot. There will be plenty of spaces for everyone available!

What is the best way to get to Athens?

We know that the majority of our guests are traveling from out of town, and we love that so many people are willing to make this trip to celebrate with us! If you are flying in from out of town, it can be anywhere from a 1hr 20min to 2 hr drive to Athens from the Atlanta airport. I would recommend a rental car for the weekend or taking the free shuttle that runs from the Atlanta airport to Athens daily & then taking Ubers once you make it to Athens.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! If you are coming to celebrate us with our family, we want you to bring yours as well!

When should I arrive?

Please be at the botanical garden for the ceremony 15-20 minutes before the ceremony is to begin. The cocktail hour and reception will immediately follow the ceremony.

Where should I stay?

Athens has many hotels that would be great places to stay while you are in town! There are plenty in the downtown area that put you in the heart of town for your time here and should be higher quality places to stay. There are also lots of AirBnB’s in Athens if you prefer that. If you have any questions about where might be a good place to stay let us know & we will give you any thoughts we may have!

How do I find the Pavilion for the Welcome party.

Follow the link at the to the state parks webpage. There should be a park map linked at the top. The pavilion is marked by a blue triangle near Picnic Area #2. If the map doesn't work, here are the turn by turn directions: Enter the park from S. Broad St. and go through the gate. Take a right on Fort Yargo Rd and go over the bridge. Follow the road and take the second right onto a small park road. The road leads down to a picnic/playground area and loops back to itself. At the Y where the loop starts take a right. The Pavilion will be on your right about half way around the picnic.
