The year was 2003! Catherine was in 6th grade and was told that a new kid would be joining the class mid-year. In very Catherine fashion, she could not wait to meet the new kid and tell the whole class about him. So instead of waiting for the "new kid" to come up to class, she quickly raised her hand and said she needed to "use the bathroom", ran downstairs to the main office of the school to check him out and that is the first time Catherine saw the "new kid" Don! Catherine ran back upstairs to inform the class it is a boy and he's oh so cute! Minutes later, in walks Don! Catherine got a good look at Don and the crush started! For months to come there were many entries in Catherine’s journal about just how cute Don was!

Throughout middle school and high school they stayed friendly but they were both busy with their own groups of friends and hobbies. Fast forward to the summer of 2012, little did Catherine know but Don had his eye on her, which didn't go unnoticed by Catherine's mother Rosemary, who likes to tell the story that she knew Don was up to something! On July 6th 2012 they were officially dating!

Over the next 10 years of dating (yes 10 years!) they grew their love and truly became best friends, savoring their time with one another and confident that they’d spend the rest of their lives together. The two were celebrating their 10-year anniversary in Longboat Key, FL when Don proposed to Catherine. They’re now enjoying engaged life and are very excited to celebrate their wedding with those who mean the most to them.
