Dancing and disco tunes are usually playing on a Saturday night. There are also numerous fun bars walking distance from this space.

This is the go-to record store in Nashville and is located near our neighborhood in East Nashville. Friendly staff and a great new vinyl selection. Their used LP isn't huge, but you can usually find a gem or two. Sometimes Grimey's has a local or national band playing an in-store show.
This is an extensive park 3 min from our home in East Nashville with beautiful surroundings, under the foliage right on the Cumberland River! There are affordable bicycle rentals near the nature center, if you want to bike the Greenway past the forested areas, fields and streams, wetlands and even an old airpark.

Built in 1929, Cheekwood is a 55-acre botanical garden and art museum located in the historic southwest Nashville. Perfect place for a family outing as the gardens are beautiful! There is a walking trail in the woods, Japanese garden, and the mansion. The mansion is an additional fee, but is worth it if you’re a first-time goer. Go grab a drink at the close by Greenhouse Bar (listed below).

If you want to get the "full Nashville experience" and visit our famous Broadway scene, we suggest you start or end your night here! Some of the best places in downtown. Do yourself a favor and visit Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar, as well as Skull's Rainbow Room. Great atmosphere in both places, & great music. Head on down to feet street for a pint as well. The Rooftop Lounge at Bobby Hotel provides an eclectic atmosphere. The atmosphere early is pretty laid back, the views of the city are magnificent, specialty cocktails are on point and the food is pretty great too! The late night crowd is vibrant.

Travel a few miles south to Franklin, TN, where Cat went to school and where John first lived when he moved to Nashville. Franklin is a wonderful town with countless little shops and good restaurants, and is renowned for its role in the Civil War. There are numerous battlefields, cemeteries, monuments, and more to visit and learn about key events like the Battle of Franklin. During the Civil War, the Carter House was Federal headquarters and the Lotz House was a field hospital. Each of these houses are historically fascinating places to tour, with bullet and cannonball holes in their walls until this day.
This little picturesque and charming town is where Cat grew up. There is no complete road trip without Leiper’s Fork! Weather in search of a unique gift, art piece or to grab a bite, this peaceful village is a beautiful place to just hangout. Explore, relax and indulge in some whiskey at the local distillery!
Trying to get in a little nature bathing and exercise? Go take a hike at this park! There is a white trail (2.5 miles), a red trail (4.5 miles) and a paved trail that runs alongside them. There are a few parking areas, but the best experience is to park at the Percy Warner Park Allée and take the stairs up to the trail head.
If you'd like to take home some local brew, this is the place to stop by. Located along 12 South with plenty of restaurants and other shops to explore.
