Our Wedding

Let's just start off the story by saying for as long as Katie can remember, her mother has been telling her "YOU SHOULD DATE NICK LOVERDE!" Flash back to 1998 when Annette LoVerde (Nick's mother) was Katie's first grade religion teacher. Flash forward a few years later to Katie's sister Jen and Nick's sister Nicole becoming best friends in first grade. Nicole was like a second sister to Katie and Jen was like a second sister to Nick. Their families were always intertwined yet the two didn't officially meet until 2019. That brings us to January 11, 2019. Katie went out to the local bar Campagne House with her best friend Sarah. In walks Nick and Katie gives him a quick double take (of course Sarah sees this) and says "who's that? do you want him? I'll go get him for you." Katie told her not to and that she simply knew who he was and that's why she was looking at him. While at the bar, Katie ran into all of her sisters friends including Nicole (Nicks sister). Nicole had told Katie that her brother was at the bar and that they should date so that her and Jen could be sisters. Katie, was not interested. Katie offered to be the DD that night and drive her sisters friends to Farmingdale and go out with them for "one drink". This lead to Katie and Nick "officially" meeting, flirting and Nick NOT ASKING FOR KATIES NUMBER AT THE END OF THE NIGHT. So of course she made sure that he got it by giving it to Nicole and then checking in with Jen the following morning to follow up. The two began a texting relationship for about a month (since Katie kept blowing off their dates). FINALLY on Feb. 10, the two went out (after Katie's mom pushed her out the door) and it ended up being the best first date either of them had ever been on. Come April, the two took a vacation to Miami to really test the waters and ended up making their relationship OFFICIAL. The true test of their love was moving in together a week before the COVID pandemic. But...we can assume it worked out, since they are getting married, right? The two live with their two beautiful dogs Shane and Bonnie and can not WAIT to start the next chapter in their lives.
