The universe had a plan when Cat unknowingly took the job where she would meet her future husband.
When David tells it, he says he asked around about the new redhead guera and that he slowly started saying hi to her when she was covering reception. Now if you know David you know he is pretty quiet and known to mumble. He says she ignored him-she says she literally never heard him. 
Their fates aligned at a coworkers going away party downtown and David asked Cat to dance. By the end of the night (emboldened by the power of wine) Cat said, “so you want my number or what?” Being an intelligent man David said yes.
They had their first date 5 days later. Cat likes to tell anyone who will listen that she knew this man was going to be her husband by their third date-and wouldn’t you know it? She was right.
