Catherine and Matt met for the first time at Pat O'Brien's in San Antonio back in 2012 through their mutual friend Sarah Lytal. After many Hurricanes (the drink) and seeing each other a few more times, their dates turned into official dating in January 2013. They really demonstrated commitment through the many MegaBus rides between San Antonio and Austin thereafter!

After graduation, Matt and Catherine endured long distance between Nebraska, Texas, California, Arizona, and Florida, and then somehow both ended up in Louisiana, which is where they currently live.

Matt proposed to Catherine in Chicago in April 2019 on the river walk, followed by a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley, making for the perfect day! It was no question when considering New Orleans as the wedding location, as it is one of their favorite cities. Catherine and Matt are so excited to share this special occasion with their friends and family!
