Cathedral Heights Neighborhood

1. Two Amys ($$): Neapolitan pizza, kid-friendly, no reservations needed

2. Cactus Cantina ($$): quintessential Tex-Mex, reservations not usually needed, kid-friendly, get the sangrita (margarita with sangria in it) if you go!

3. Open City ($$): All-day breakfast, has something for everyone!


Dupont Circle/Adams Morgan Neighborhood

1. Anju ($$): Korean-fushion, reservation needed for more than 2 people, if under 2 people recommend walking in for a bar seat, GET THE FRIED CHICKEN!

2. Lapis ($$): Afghan food, reservation recommended

3. Hank's Oyster Bar ($$): seafood!

4. Chiko ($): Fast-casual chinese-korean fushion;

5. Green Zone ($): Small bites and delicious cocktails

6. Zorba's Cafe ($): No-frills Greek bistro with delicious gyros, no reservation needed

7. Kramers ($$): Bookstore with a cafe, might have to wait, good food variety


Mt. Pleasant Neighborhood

1. Beau Thai ($$): Super delicious Thai food; usually no reservation needed

2. Purple Patch ($$): Filipino food

3. Mt Desert Ice Cream ($): Ice cream, duh!

4. Nido Wine & Market ($$): Natural wine shop


Columbia Heights Neighborhood

1. Thip Kao ($$): Laotian food, usually need a reservation

2. Malaysian ($$): Indonesian food, usually need a reservation

3. The Coupe ($$): Brunch


U Street/Shaw Neighborhood

1. Chicken & Whiskey ($): fast-casual chicken place

2. Colada Shop ($$): Cuban coffee, drinks, and food; no res needed

3. Roaming Rooster ($$): fast-casual fried chicken sandwiches, local DC place!

Chinatown

1. Daikaya Isakaya ($$): Ramen shop, small, usually don't need a reservation

2. Love, Makoto ($-$$$): Food hall with variety of Asian food options at different price points


H Street/Union Market

1. Indigo ($): Cheap, but delicious Indian food, no res needed

2. Daru ($$-$$$): Very nice Indian food, usually need a reservation but their bar is first-come, first-served

3. Sticky Rice ($$): Asian fusion

4. Maketto ($$): Cafe and restaurant with Cambodian food, usually need a reservation for lunch/dinner

5. Union Market ($-$$$): food hall with restaurants and vendors


Capitol Hill

1. Rose's Luxury ($$$): Michelin star restaurant, incredible food, need a reservation

2. Chiko ($) -- another location

3. Ambar ($$): Balkan food, usually need a reservation

4. All Purpose ($$): Pizza and eggplant parm, Navy Yard location is right on the water
