Q + A

What is the dress code?

We kindly ask guests to dress in cocktail attire—elegant but not overly formal. For Women: Feel free to wear your summer dresses! Heels, wedges, or dressy sandals are perfect. For Men: A suit or blazer with dress pants and a collared shirt. Ties are optional, and dress shoes are preferred.

Can I bring a plus-one or my kids?

If your plus-one or children are invited, their name(s) will appear on your formal invitation. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out!

Do you have a hotel block?

Please reference the "Travel" tab for links and more information on hotel blocks. We recommend booking your lodging on the earlier side, as Northern MI in the summer is a popular travel destination.

Will the wedding events be held indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be held inside at the church, and the reception will be at Jacob's Farm, an indoor-outdoor venue. We recommend bringing a light layer or something comfortable for the weather!

What should I do in between the ceremony and the reception?

If you’re looking to explore before the reception, Front Street has some great shops, restaurants, and bars to enjoy. For more suggestions, don’t forget to visit the "Things to Do" section on our website!

Is there parking available?

There is parking available at both the church and the reception venue. We will also be providing optional transportation for all of our guests to-and-from the reception. See the transportation tab for more details.

I'm not Catholic – what should I know before the ceremony?

We are incredibly happy to have guests from different backgrounds and religions. Thank you in advance for respecting our faith, as it's a really important part of our relationship. We will have programs at the church that include some guidance for non-Catholics. Please just be yourself, and reach out with any questions about what to expect!
