It was the summer of 2009... a warm summer day, waves crashing in the background & the smell of seafood & melted butter... their eyes met from across the *dreamy* setting of a Joe's Crab Shack's dining room and it was love at first sight!

Okay, so, maybe not quite that romantic. It all began when Catie was 19 & working at Joe's for the summer, on break from FSU, when Scott was hired as a busboy/barback/bartender while attending UNF. Catie was seeing someone when he first started working there, but that didn't stop him from asking their friends & co-workers about her. It wasn't long before their nights of working late together turned into nights out with friends & the rest is history!

Scott took Catie down to his hometown of Sanibel Island to meet his family & the two snuck into one of the Island's hotel resorts where they swam beneath the stars. It was this night, June 6, they knew it was much more than a summer romance.

Most of their relationship has consisted of weekend visits and long I-10 drives between Jacksonville & Tallahassee. From Scott becoming an honorary FSU student, attending [many] Delta Gamma date functions & family vacations across the country to graduating college and eventually living together in a little beach townhouse, the past seven(ish) years have been nothing short of pure bliss!

Catie is currently attending Florida State University College of Law & Scott is working for Stellar Energy as a Project Manager. They are excited to be living in the same town again soon when Catie graduates in December 2017. They know their shared love of saltwater + sunshine will keep them near the ocean- but until then, weekend visits & FSU football games aren't such a bad compromise ;)

We are so grateful to have such a loving, supportive group of friends & family to help us plan the rest of our lives together. From college sweethearts to husband & wife, thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way!
