You will receive a more formal invitation a few months before our big day! The "Save the Date" is to give you a decent heads up and allow you to plan for travel, stays, and so forth. We will continue to add details and finalize all of the information for you by the time you receive the invitation!

On the travel page you will find a lovely lists of some hotels in the area! We have made a room block at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown and the Embassy Suites for our out-of-town guests! You can use the link on the page titled "Travel" to book or you can call the hotel directly and let them know you want to book under the Stark-Matthews Wedding block! Rooms are limited so snatch them while you can! If you are unable to book in time to be a part of the block, we have listed several other recommendations of wonderful options nearby!

Yes! Beer, wine, liquor, and non-alcoholic beverages are on us! Please be sure to tip your bartenders!

We are having an "Unplugged Ceremony" (no phones or personal cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say "I Do." We have hired professional photographers and videographers to capture this moment for us and we will gladly share with you all once we receive them. Before and after the ceremony, feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you'd like! AND there's a photobooth :)

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

We love your little ones, we really do. However, this will primarily be an ADULT ONLY affair besides those we have asked to be a part of our ceremony. We hope you take this opportunity to enjoy a date night with your significant other or enjoy a night out to yourself! We appreciate you making prior arrangements.

You will be so missed, but we understand! Please indicate your regrets on our RSVP tab so we may plan accordingly. There will be an official "RSVP by" date on our formal invitation!

Both the ceremony and the reception will take place at The Cheney Place which is an all-indoor venue!

We'd love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is cocktail attire! As we finalize details and decor, we will put inspiration pictures on this website for those of you who like to color coordinate. (Am I the only one who does that?)

Examples include suits, sports coats and dress pants, cocktail dresses (mini, midi, knee-length, or full-length). Please refrain from wearing jeans and athletic wear.
