Caylie is from Augusta, KS. Connor is from Baton Rouge, LA. How did they meet, you might ask? Well it all started at Butler Community College in El Dorado, KS. Caylie played softball at Butler and was studying Business Management. Connor played baseball at Butler and was studying Criminal Justice. They met at the end of their Freshman year. Caylie was working at Hibbett Sports one night and left to go work the concessions stands at the Butler Football game. They ended up meeting at the concession stands because one of Caylie's teammates introduced them. They talked and exchanged snapchats. Caylie, at first was not sure about getting into a long distance relationship. Caylie would only snap Connor just for the "Snapchat Streak".

What really sparked their relationship was at Club Rodeo. Some of the players on the Baseball and Softball team decided to go one night. But it wasn't easy deciding to meet up that night. Caylie wasn't going to go, until Connor bribed her with a RedBull that he would bring her at work the next day...... it didn't take much convincing. Caylie ended up at Rodeo that night. They talked and danced all night until they had to leave. Connor kept his promise and showed up to Caylie's work the next day, with a RedBull!

They started dating on February 19th. Caylie was coming back from a Softball game in Fort Worth Texas. She knew she was going to be up late from getting home and still needing to do Homework. Connor met Caylie at her house as soon as she got home. They were downstairs and she was working on her Homework for School. Connor made a comment that he needed to go out to his car and grab something. He came back inside with Roses and a note. The note at the very end said "Now I need to ask you a very important question..." and Connor asked Caylie "Will you be my Girlfriend?" It was such a great night. Their relationship from this night was something special.

After a lot of heartbreaking goodbyes from long distance... there was one goodbye in particular that hurt the most. There came a point that Caylie and Connor were graduating from Butler. They knew it was going to be challenging going their separate ways. It was a very hard night to have to say goodbye. They felt uneasy and didn't know when the next time they would see each other. They took advantage of their Summers together. They took trips together and made the best memories.

Caylie was going to continue her Softball Career at Appalachian State in North Carolina. Connor was going to Southeastern in Louisiana to finish his Criminal Justice Degree. They talked endless hours on the phone and tried to come see each other as much as their busy schedules would allow them to. Connor would make it to some of Caylie's Softball Games to support her. Connor and Caylie tried to make the best of their long distance relationship. Even at times it was more difficult to deal with. Sometimes the distance would make them go 5+ months before they saw each other again.

The day that Connor propsed to Caylie. Thier proposal would signify an end to their long distance relationship. While on a family vacation to New Hampshire Connor would build up the courage to ask Caylie to be with him forever. It truly was a thing of beauty for Caylie and Connor since the Kifer's and the Callihan's got to watch the engagement unfold. This day would mark the beginning of a lifetime commitment.

Caylie and Connor would be hit with a very hard and difficult obstacle when Connor would head to San Antonio for Air Force basic training. Throughout the 7.5 weeks Connor and Caylie would be very limited on communicating with one another. Communication would come in the form of letters and three phone calls that would last no more than twenty minutes. After 7.5 weeks they would be reunited and it would be the first time the two saw each other after Connor left for San Antonio.
