Our Wedding

Ceanna and Joel met in New Zealand while attending Capernwray Bible school back in 2019. Although the common nickname for Bible school tends to be bridal school it was not in the Lord's plan to start this love story just yet.   Fast forward almost 5 years in February 2023 when Joel came out to Vancouver Canada for a Whistler ski trip with his best friend Ben (he makes a cameo in this wedding). Because Ceanna doesn't watch the Superbowl she came to hang out with Joel (Moses) while he was visiting Trinity Western University campus, and apparently, sparks were a flying.   Joel after heading home, and with much prompting from the Lord, sent a letter expressing his interest and desire to pursue Ceanna. However, poor him had to wait a whole month for an answer after sending it and Ceanna writing and sending a reply (yay for fast postage). But he was patient and they soon started their long distance relationship in May 2023 with countless phone calls, facetimes, and weekend trips. They joke and say one of their first dates was road tripping up the entirety of the West Coast of the USA together which basically sums up the attitude of adventure that encompasses every date.   Ceanna soon moved across the world to Australia while Joel continued his work and studies in Canada. Although this season of LONG distance came with its challenges it also provided a deepened relationship and assurance of the Lord's calling over their lives as individuals as well as His evident leading in guiding their path as a couple. Three trips happened within this year apart. One, Ceanna returned to Canada in April 2024 to graduate University at Trinity Western. Two, Joel came to Australia in July where they explored the world DownUnder, spending time with family and friends. Three, between semesters in September, Ceanna visited Joel in Alberta and she left with a heavy left hand!   Now, as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives TOGETHER, they eagerly anticipate celebrating their union with friends and family on May 24, 2025.

For accurate directions to the Ranch, Red Deer River Ranches can be put into Google Maps. If that’s not your preferred platform, head W of Sundre until you see the blue sign saying Red Deer River Ranches (8km W of Tim Hortons), head South on the CoalCamp road for 22km. You will be on the Ranch land and follow the signs as to parking! You’ve made it!
