Soulmates? Love at first sight? This love story is neither of those. Cedar and Andre could not be more opposite people who found the person they needed most. A girl from Southern Oregon whose closest neighbor was a cow and a boy from Los Angeles, the city of fame of which he was not. Although they grew up in different worlds, their paths crossed as if in a movie - and they would know, all they do is watch tv.


Back in 2016 Andre began his Oregon State football’s fall camp and on the first day in the cafeteria he sees a blonde girl dressed in Khakis and a polo and thinks… “ugh it’s hot, why did we have to come all the way to Bend for fall camp?”


Cedar had just begun her athletic training rotation with the football team and was set to be with them for the whole season. If you had asked her what she thought of Andre during her first few months she would say “Who?” Because as we know Andre is not the extroverted type and stayed far away from the cute trainer taping everyone’s ankles. Luckily, he has good friends who are a little more outgoing and as time progressed a friend group was made including the both of them.


Through the winter, Cedar and Andre started to hang a lot more and as they learned more about one another, they became best friends. In fact, Andre introduced Cedar to his family on their weekly FaceTime as his best friend and Cedar brought her bestie down to her parents estate for a fun getaway weekend. (Brienz was the first to guess the end of the movie)


These best friends started hanging out all the time and doing everything together. But after a while (as expected towards the end of the movie), deeper feelings developed and they realized what they had could no longer be defined as just “Best Friends”. And so in 2017, Andre drove over to Cedar’s house and made their relationship official!


Since then, their relationship and love has only grown with each stage of life - from where they lived to Andre’s continued unwillingness to call a restaurant to place a ToGo order.


Milestones accomplished together:


Meeting in Corvallis: 2017-2020
-Cedar graduated with her Bachelor degree
- Andre graduated with his dual Bachelor degree
-Cedar became the head Athletic Trainer at CVHS
-Andre crossed into Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Yo Baby Yo Baby Yo!♦️👌🏽
-Andre finished out his collegiate football career


Moved to Atlanta, GA: 2020-2023
-Drove across the country together (IN A PANDEMIC)
-Cedar started and graduated PA school from Emory University 🥳
-Andre landed his first job as an accountant at a Big Four accounting firm
-First time living together (Cedar’s cat almost kills Andre)


Moved to Ventura, CA: 2023- Present
-Cedar lands her first job as a PA in OBGYN👩🏼‍⚕️
- Buy their first house together
-Get their first puppy (Gotta love Kuzzie Kuzz)🐶
-Andre proposes to the absolute love of his life, to which she replies “Yes Please!!”


The times they’ve shared together thus far are a reflection of how happy two people can be when they give their all to one another, yet can continue grow individually. As they embark on this next chapter of life, they could not be more happy to stand at the alter in front of one another, in front of all of their loved ones, and say “I do”.
