Where is Malta?
Malta is a small island country located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, south of the island of Sicily. Malta consists of three main islands: Malta, Gozo, and Comino. Malta is home to the oldest freestanding structures on earth, which date back over 5,000 years. These temples are older than Stonehenge in England and the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.

We have added the link to the Gozo Ferry located under the travel section of the website towards the bottom of the page.

Can I take a direct flight to Malta?
Typically, flights from Detroit to Malta will involve a layover in Europe, such as London (LHR), Frankfurt (FRA), Amsterdam (AMS), or other European airports.
Note: Typical flight times to Europe are 14-16 hours depending on where you fly in to. We recommend spending time in other places during your trip either before or after the wedding! Flying into a major airport like Paris (CGD) or Amsterdam (AMS) makes it easy to bounce around as most flights to and from EU countries can be pretty affordable. Bullet trains are also a cheap and fun way to explore! Booking a round trip flight doesn't always have to include all of your destinations. We do suggest getting to Malta at least 3 days prior to the wedding even if you are already in Europe.
