Where will wedding updates be posted?
Please check this website for any and all updates.
My Save-the-Date said there would be an Indian wedding, but it's not showing up for me when I RSVP. What's up with that?
Due to space constraints we are limited to a certain number of participants in the actual Indian ceremony at the temple, which we are limiting to family from abroad and the bride/groom party. However, everyone is invited to the Indian banquet to be held afterwards. Please be sure to RSVP to ensure you see which events you are invited to.
What time should I arrive at the ceremonies?
Please arrive no later than 10-15 minutes before the ceremonies.
What is the dress code for Indian ceremony and lunch banquet?
Formal Indian attire is preferred (saree for women, kurta for men), but Western Semi-Formal attire also works: https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-semi-formal
I'd love to purchase some Indian clothes--where should I do that?
Here are some links to websites where you can purchase Indian attire:
www.manyavar.com/en-us, shopkynah.com/collections/mens, & benzerworld.com. Amazon also has Indian clothing available as well.
For any questions you may have, or if you'd like something custom, please reach out to Chinmay directly!
What is the dress code for the Catholic ceremony and Reception?
Western Semi-Formal attire for the Catholic ceremony.
For the reception, either Western Semi-Formal attire or Formal Indian attire works.
What will the weather be like?
The weather in San Diego will be in the comfortable range of 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit, and all ceremonies and receptions will be indoors. You'll likely only need a sweater for the night-time activities!
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
At the Indian banquet, we will have a selection of Indian food. (Veggie options available)
At the reception, we will have a selection of Mexican food. (All dishes are gluten-free; veggie option available)
What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?
Our rental at BRICK is 24 hours, so feel free to stay and party until the sun comes up or you are tired of dancing!
Are children invited?
Children are invited if your invitation includes their names.
How can I let you know about my dietary restrictions?
When you RSVP, please indicate vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.
Where can I stay?
The "Travel" tab has information on hotels near the reception venue and the airport. Airbnb's are a good option as well for larger parties. For smaller parties, we've found Airbnb's are priced similarly to the hotels.
Will transportation be provided to/from the ceremonies and receptions?
Yes. The bride and groom will have coordinated shuttle transportation to/from the ceremony and reception on both 8/9 and 8/10. Please see "Travel" tab for more information.
Is parking available if I choose to drive?
Yes, there is parking available at the hotels, the temple, the church, and the banquet and reception venues should you choose to drive.
I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in San Diego?
San Diego has something for everybody. If this is your first time visiting, take advantage of the great food, zoo/museums, hiking, and of course--the beach!
Are you using a gift registry service?
Yes, please see the "Registry" tab on the website. We will also have a card drop at the reception. People are coming a long way to see us get married, so your presence is what's most important to us!
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We encourage, in fact, to take as many pictures as you'd like at the Indian temple, the banquet, and the reception! We do ask that you please refrain from taking pictures inside of the Catholic church.
