We met at Lasell in 2018, when we both took a course together called COM103 aka Human Communications... Despite being a course all about speaking to people and making connections, we said maybe 10 words to one another... Fortunately, we bumped into each other the following semester and bonded over surviving that professor and our affinity for mid day naps. From there it was all about getting to know one another over episodes of Game of Thrones and cheap bottles of pink moscato.

Somebody must've said something right, because by 2019, things were official and we were both making the 2 hour drive back and forth between Connecticut and Rhode Island any time we weren't together at school. That drive only increased in frequency after COVID-19 sent us home from school (and cancelled our first planned vacation together). The distance did nothing to slow down the relationship and we continued to grow closer with each passing year.

Fast forward to 2022, when we decided that it was time to move in together and finally put a stop to all the multi-hour drives and extra miles on our cars... only to immediately take a 6 hour round trip to pick up a puppy together. With that, we began our newest adventure of raising a dog in a condo that hadn't even seen the paint dry on the walls yet. With our family growing, and the question of "which last name will the dog have at the vet" becoming an actual conversation, it became clear it was time for a big step.

After months of planning, that big step came on a cruise through the Caribbean, where on the last stop of the trip, in the Bahamas, the open ring box was hidden precariously under a beach towel. The ring was promptly sat on (whoops) and revealed, and the tears began to flow. Obviously, the answer was yes (or else you would not be reading this) and we immediately began our plans for our big day that we are so excited to share and experience with all of you!
