You are invited to join us to celebrate true love and joy in the magical place where we fell in love! We are gathering our most loved people to share in the moment where we officially commit our lives to each other.
OPTIONAL GROUP EVENT
Friday, Aug. 15, 11:30am
Join us for a leisurely 1 hour paddle trip up the Wailua River where you will enjoy beautiful Kauai flora and fauna and meet new friends on the water. We will park the kayaks and hike 1 mile in to Secret Falls on a gorgeous jungle trail to have lunch (BYOL) and a dip at the falls. The trip is 4 hours total and not intended to be strenuous, but will be a bit of a workout. This trip is optional. $75/person, please reserve your spot ASAP via the Guest Questionnaire.
GROUP EVENT
Sunday, Aug. 17, afternoon
Ho'opi'i Falls is an extraordinary place just a hop and skip off the beaten path. We are planning a group hike after the Mahalo Brunch. A half mile stroll through lush foliage takes you to a beautiful small 20' waterfall mostly known to locals. You can leap from the top into a deep pool below, or just sunbathe on the smooth rocks and watch the fun. The river itself is deep and slow moving, perfect for floating and taking it all in. Shoes are necessary in the water regardless what you plan to do.
Recommended Activity
The tubing tour is highly recommended! A limited group of us were able to book Thursday for Jonathan's 40th birthday, but if you're looking for something to do it is highly recommended.
Waimea Canyon
Waimea Canyon is such a gorgeous day drive. The sprawling vistas are worth the hour+ drive. So much so, that we had originally planned our wedding on a cliff side there. If you are an adventurous 4WD driver with a jeep, the hunting trails are Indian Jones worthy fun. Stop at the visitor center for some food, drinks, quality tourist shopping and helpful people with maps to the canyon.
Bamboo Forest to Hanakapiai Falls
This hike from the Kalalau trailhead to Hanakapiai Falls is an absolutely worth it trek through bamboo forest that towers above you until you get to the gorgeous falls for a dip. The trail itself starts on the Northern coastline and zigzags through tight canyons until it cuts in through majestic bamboo and ends at the falls. It is a challenging yet rewarding 4-mile round trip.
The Smith Family Luau gives you everything! Tours through the gardens, a luau dinner with sand pit Kalua Pork, followed by an extravagant performance. We experienced this luau before and were blown away.
