Maddie Brandenburger

Maddie was right by Kareleen’s side when they both decided to sign up for the Spartan race early in Chad and Kareleen’s relationship, that’s who she is - never afraid of an adventure! Maddie is one of the funniest people you’ll meet and her outgoing personality makes everyone feel loved. Maddie is the little sister that Kareleen never had and has been there for Kareleen through countless adventures.

Olivia Carlove

Liv and Kareleen didn’t realize for a long time that their bond went back way further than they realized until they discovered that Kareleen’s dad and Liv’s parents went to high school together in Springfield, IL! Liv and Kareleen are now roommates and love getting to carpool to Redeemer, the school where they both teach. Wether it’s venting about a hard day at school or laughing about something that happened during the day, their time in the car and at home is some of the highlights of Kareleen’s day! Liv cares for people like no one else and has a heart that Kareleen learns from continuously.

Raley Ehlers Smith

Raley and Kareleen love to joke that they used to be “enemies” during Raley’s freshman year when they were roommates in the dorm’s and Raley’s room could often be a little loud ;) But their relationship sure has come a long way since they were neighbors. Raley’s kind heart and fun personality is one that everyone enjoys being around. She and her fiancé Major have been a couple that is so important in Chad and Kareleen’s lives. And now they are getting to walk through the season of being brides together!

Sophie Lee

Sophie and Kareleen became close when they were RA’s at Concordia together and have grown even closer since. They love an adventure together wether it’s going thrifting, following Chad and Angel while they play disc golf, or just laughing together. Sophie was responsible for helping Chad get all of the important details when he was designing Kareleen’s ring, a favor that Kareleen didn’t even realize she was doing at the time but it so grateful for her smooth secret keeping skills ;)

Brooke Martin

Brooke and Kareleen formed a close bond in their Vocation of the Christian Educator class at Concordia and have loved going on coffee runs and thrifting trips ever since! Brooke is wise beyond her years and has a passion for sharing the Gospel that is evident to everyone she meets, she loves listening to people and making them feel truly seen.

Amber Reiner

Amber and Kareleen bonded over being out of state students at Concordia and quickly became family at school. They survived being RA’s together along with so many other adventures in Austin. With too many inside jokes to count, they can make each other laugh better than anyone! While they are separated by distance Amber continues to be like family and someone that Kareleen looks up to in so many ways.

Kendra Theimer

Kendra and Kareleen instantly became friends during their freshman orientation at Concordia and survived and supported each other through adventures, trials, and celebrations during their time in college. They have the same sense of humor and love getting to talk about whatever is going on in the world good or bad they find a way to make each other laugh. Kendra can think about things in such creative ways and cares deeply for people.

Cameron Wettschurack

Cam is the sister that Kareleen always dreamed of! Her infectious joy and passion for taking care of people shines through her wherever she goes. Kareleen is so grateful to have her as a role model in so many aspects of life and loves getting to ask the deep questions and have the ’sister’ conversations that she has never gotten to experience. Cam and Caleb are an amazing couple that model what a Christ-centered marriage looks like for Chad and Kareleen!
