Thank you so much for being here and reading Our Story, it means a lot. Let's flashback to 2016. Chalis reluctantly agreed to fill in on a Discount Tire softball game (we all know Chalis isn't very sporty), that Jared happened to be filling in for too coincidentally! From there, we started to slowly get to know each other, going on hikes, dates, lounging around a fire and the rest has led us here today! Our love for the outdoors, road trips, trying new foods/recipes and exploring has only brought us closer together.

We moved to Bellingham, Washington from Flagstaff, Arizona in 2020 due to our desire to be in the Pacific Northwest. It had always been Chalis' dream to move up here and she shared that with Jared, but it didn't take much convincing once he experienced it. We had taken a "scouting of potential towns" trip in the winter of 2019 and were swept away by Bellingham. It felt like home in a way, small college town just like Flagstaff but it had this buzzing energy of life and adventure. Situated between the mountains and sea, Bellingham had all to offer for our love of the outdoors. Now we have created our life here and couldn't imagine it any other way!

In January of 2022 we bought our first home in a beautiful neighborhood located in a valley of mountains surrounded by many lakes for all our water adventures. It was a little bit of a fixer upper which was intended to turn the character to our own. In the past couple of years we have slowly been doing all of the work from scraping popcorn ceiling to taking down a partial wall to painting the whole exterior of the house and deck, it has been hard work but we are so immensely grateful to call it our home.

We are so excited to finally be starting this new chapter of our lives. Looking back to the late night conversations around the campfire, we alway knew that our wedding would nestled in the mountains somewhere beautiful. We are so grateful and blessed to make our dream come to fruition.
