Being only fifteen months apart, I’ve always wanted to be like my big sister. Lots of memories of playing with barbies and dressing up. And also fighting and competing against one another. Hair-pulling once got us duck-taped together for an entire day. But those days are behind us and our sisterhood bond grew stronger. Mackenzie has been my role model since day one of life. And she still continues to set the bar high! I can still rely on her to solve any math problem I have! Love ya sis!
Praline Rose - Dog of Honor
I adopted my sweet Praline Rose during finals week of my senior year of nursing school. Study vs look at dogs to adopt? (it's obvious what I prioritized). I saw her picture online and my heart instantly knew I needed her. She’s my sassy little queen. My couch and nap buddy. My protector who takes the job very seriously. My little ray of sunshine and five pounds of sweetness. She completes our family and of course has to be here on Justin and I’s special day!
Kaylee Carreon - Bridesmaid
Kaylee is the little sister I’ve always wanted! She’s been in my life for the last several years and has been such a fun addition! We love our starbs and shopping days! Recently, she just had our family’s first grandbaby, Andrew! Thanks for making me an aunty!
Katie Hanners - Bridesmaid
I met Katie at UMKC, when she was a freshman and I was a senior. We ran together in college-and to run together! I had the pleasure of seeing her compete in college and graduate Law school. She is such a high achiever and I’m a very proud friend! She’s smart and speedy, and a lil sassy! She’s also the world’s best information-finder!
Halley Zitterkopf - Bridesmaid
I met Halley when she transferred to UMKC, and I’m so glad we still get to run together! We share a bond over vegetarian food. I love going out to eat with her because I always copy her order! I’ll never forget the summer we lifted and ran together almost everyday! Halley always grounds me and offers the best life advice! Fun fact: her great dane, Noah is 180 lbs!!
Sarah Torrez - Bridesmaid
I knew Sarah back in highschool, when we competed against each other in cross country/track. I remember on my college visit, I saw her in the weight room doing pull ups and I thought, “oh no, that's Sarah Forgary!” turns out I wouldn’t have survived college without her as we went through nursing school together. Post-college we went on to run at the olympic trials together! My most favorite memory! Although she lives in North Carolina, I couldn’t survive life without my Sarah.
Elizabeth Fambrough - Bridesmaid
Elizabeth and I met on our recruiting visit at UMKC. I was so excited when I heard she committed, I soon did too after her! I had the pleasure of getting to room with Elizabeth all through college! She never fails to light up any room she is in! She’s the funniest person I know, without even trying to be! Couldn't do life without her!
Megan Mills - Bridesmaid
Megan and I met at UMKC. I remember she volunteered to workout with me on Wednesdays so I never had to tempo alone my freshman year! We were 10k buds! Megan is the life of the party, the most social butterfly I know! Never fails to make me laugh! She also keeps me young with her tiktok trends!
Nicole Harder - Bridesmaid
Nicole and I met when we were in college, although she was at Tulsa. We bonded over both running and nursing school. I was so excited when Nicole landed a job on the plaza! We’ve had many fun runs and girl nights. Nicole is the hardest worker there ever was! Since she’s started CRNA school, our runs have been more spread apart, but our friendship still holds strong. Nicole is the most caring person I know!
Crystal Fletcher - Bridesmaid
I met Crystal at the KC Corporate Challenge, when we both were running the mile for Children’s Mercy. Our cooldown together was the beginning of a special friendship. Crystal is my hype girl! She is always smiling and celebrating life! We love our coffee dates and trail runs together, recently she’s pushed a stroller on her runs, she is a supermom and I don’t know how she does it! She’s recently moved to Texas, but thank goodness for our facetime calls!
Nathan O'Brien - Best Man
I can’t remember a time in my life where Nate wasn’t there. Growing up with all boys means spending every waking second with each other (for better or worse)! It’s funny looking back and thinking of how different we were from each other to now seeing we are basically the same person! Nate knows me better than anyone else on this planet and I can’t think of anyone more fitting to be my best man! Through thick and thin!
Braden O'Brien - Groomsman
Braden is the most lowkey out of all the O’Brien brothers, but he may be the funniest one as well! He’s incredibly witty and always puts a smile on my face or shares deep thoughts that connect you to him! Him and I share our nerdy love for gaming and can just play together and chat about nothing into the early hours of the morning still (despite Chandler and Praline’s best wishes)! Braden is a loyal friend and amazing brother and I’m so excited to have him by my side on our big day!
Jared Drew - Groomsman
Jared is my older cousin, but I’ve always looked at him as more of a brother to me. Growing up so close to each other we would hang out all the time. All I ever wanted to do was be as cool as him and his friends and I’m so appreciative that he and them allowed our friendships to grow! They are truly all some of my best friends till this day! Like Nate and Braden we share a bond that’s unspeakably strong and building unto itself every day!
Anderson Carreon - Groomsman
Anderson is my soon to be brother and all around good guy in the Carreon household! We’ve only known each other for a few years, but already I’ve got to witness him marry his wife Kaylee and have their first baby boy Andrew! It’s been a whirlwind of excitement for him and his family recently and I’m lucky to be a small part of it! I’m very excited for us to grow our families together even more after our wedding!
Trevor Haeberle - Groomsman
I met one of my best friends I’ve had for the majority of my life in the 4th grade when Trev and I were in the same class. Instantly we became lifelong friends and have never looked back even while beating each other up at every step along the way! Trevor and I constantly make each other laugh with inside jokes and obscure comedy that only he and I would laugh at! Recently him and his fiancée Jessica had their beautiful daughter Scarlett and it’s been amazing watching him turn into a dad! Special s/o to Jessica as well for all her help finding Chandler’s perfect ring!
Patrick George - Groomsman
PK and I met at K State and became good friends while sharing an econ class that we both despised! Walking together to that class we’d talk about FIFA, music, movies, parties, and everything in between! We eventually became roommates for a few years fresh out of college and figuring the world out while having some great memories together we’ll never forget (Wade Boggs comes to mind)! Patrick and his wife Maria welcomed their first child Cooper last year!
Emilio Olivas - Groomsman
Emilio and I became friends while both having rooms on the bottom floor corner of Sig Ep. His room would blast music, ours would host FIFA matches, and we’d all have the best Tuesday afternoon you’d ever see! Our friendship grew during finals week in the early hours of the morning playing 2k while we should’ve been studying! We’ve spent an abundant amount of time since then watching movies, getting haircuts, and enjoying the great times together with friends! If there’s an event happening, you can bet Emilio isn’t going to miss it (FOMO anyone?) Over the past few years Emilio and his wife Ashlé have welcomed two beautiful baby girls Ella and Esme to their amazing family!
Austin May - Groomsman
I met Austin during our first year living in Sig Ep. My friendship with him grew naturally during our many activities together as a fraternity, but a few instances stick out and come to mind: new episodes of Game of Thrones, pregaming to Juicy J, and the many gatherings of friends we’ve had on the way! Austin is a huge part of our friend group and is always there to share a funny inside joke and have fun or talk about life with! Above all else he’s always there for his friends and I’m happy to have him by my side on our big day!
Eli Woerpel - Groomsman
Eli is always the epicenter of a good time! He’s truly never met a stranger and connects instantly with anyone he talks too. Eli and I have a bunch of fond memories together on our various get togethers for Cat’s games, lake trips down in Linn Valley (sorry Eli’s dad), and anything in between! Eli is always 100% committed to ensuring that the group has an amazing time and will sit up with anyone willing to till the sun comes up just chatting about life! I know from experience.
