Alex and I met Sophomore year of college at USC through our two mutual friends. I invited him to my sorority's semi-formal, and we hit it off! We spent a lot of time together as friends throughout the fall, then COVID hit, and we were sent home. The next summer, we started dating officially.

The next two years were full of USC game days, trips with family and friends, and more sorority functions!

After graduation, we both moved to Charleston where I started medical school at MUSC and Alex started his first job at Cowan Logistics. Alex has been by my side through the fun times and the not so fun times that come with medical school.

Then came the proposal! Alex and I planned to spend the weekend in Columbia for a USC game. We drove down Friday afternoon, for what I thought was a date night at one of our favorite restaurants near Lake Murray. Alex took a detour and took me to the Lake Murray dam, which is a spot he had taken me on a date three years before to watch the sunset. 3 years ago, we put a "love lock" on the fence by the dam. Three years later, he got down on one knee at the same spot. He even kept the key to our lock and threw it in the water that day to lock it in forever! Then, he took me to River Rat brewery for a surprise party with all our friends and family. It was the best night!

Now, we're having lots of fun in Charleston and can't wait for the big day!!
