Where do I stay?

The venue has ten rooms available for purchase for the wedding including family style rooms with multiple beds and queen rooms for just couples. There is also the town of Newcastle 10 minutes away from the venue that has places to stay. The first floor rooms at the venue are currently reserved for family member with mobility issues. If you fall into this category please call the bride and she will get you the accommodations you need.

What airport should I use?

We recommend flying into Rapid City and either carpooling or renting a car to get to the venue. The Venue is an hour away from the Gillette airport and an hour away from the Rapid City Airport. We suggest using The Rapid City Airport because they tend to be a little cheaper and have more options.

What should I wear?

The wedding is going to western themed and simple and sweet with neutral colors. We anticipate men wearing button down shirts, with nice jeans, and women wearing long flowy dresses that are comfortable to dance in. Please wear comfortable shoes and avoid stilettos due to the fact there is gravel in the parking lot and uneven tile in the venue and we do not want anyone getting hurt. Wyoming is a very windy place that gets cold at night, please bring a light jacket and avoid wearing accessories that may blow away.

Is there a rehesal dinner?

Yes, the rehearsal dinner is taking place Friday night at the Flying V Lodge and is being hosted by the groom's family. Close family is invited, if you believe you fall into this category and would like to attend, please call the bride and RSVP.

Can We take photos?

The ceremony is the only part of the wedding that will be phone free and a photgrapher is being hired to take all pictures. After the ceremony we will let our guests take out their personal devices and take their own photos.

Are Kids allowed?

We love our family and friends dearly including their kids. So yes, you can bring the kids but please have arrangements and contingency plans in place for when the child acts out.

Where should I eat?

The Venue has a massive kitchen and fridge for the guests to use. So if you plan on staying at the venue for a while bring snacks, sandwhiches, whatever you want. There is catering for the reception and the groom's family will be hosting the rehearsal dinner the night before. Breakfast and lunches will not be provided. The venue has multiple fire pits so bring smores and games to play with the family.

Does the Venue have rules?

Yes, it does. The Venue will be providing a cash bar, and no outside liquor is allowed. To the family members helping to set up/down, no nails or staples allowed and there is a cleaning fee for left behind tape and adhesive. Lastly no confetti.
