Oh here it goes.. I met Abercrombie- wearing, bangs-to-the-side, braces on top and bottom, and never without his wallabies or sperries Jesse Benton when I was in the 7th grade at Edgewood Academy. I didn't know much about Jesse except that he came in with three other brothers. It didn't take long for us to become friends though - I always loved how Jesse could make any school function, even a boring tornado drill, fun. I was drawn to his life-of- the-party personality and have loved it ever since.&nbsp; As we grew up together from Junior High to High School, Jesse remained one of my closest friends. I can't count the amount of memories we have from his football and my cheerleading days, to our big track meets (we still laugh at how short those shorts were), or parties we went to together (sorry parents, we are over 21 now). :) But, Jesse remained constant through that entire time. I actually told him I liked him when I was a Junior and he was a 9th grader (yes I robbed the cradle on this one). I was realizing just how much he meant to me and what a good person he was. But, I quickly "took it back" when he told me he had always had feelings for me too. He wasn't happy about it, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to go down that road with one of my good friends at 17 years old.&nbsp;We still hung out with the same crowd and were friends- I even left him something in my last will and testament in high school – that was how close we were!&nbsp; Flash forward two years when I'm a Freshman at the University of Alabama- I was having fun with my new college friends, not worried about a relationship at all. Well,&nbsp;here comes Jesse up to Ttown for a football game. Of course, we hangout tailgating all day and had all of our friends over that night. Jesse and I realized that day how much we had missed each other and I realized how much he really did mean to me.&nbsp;So, even though he was still a Junior in high school and I was a Freshman in college (so strange), we decided to give it a shot, knowing these feelings were there for a reason. In May 2013, we started dating and have been in each other's lives ever since. I can’t tell you enough how much I hear my friends say “Jesse sets the standard” for a guy in a relationship or how much they admire what we have. He’s my best friend, but he was my good friend first, before he was ever anything more, and I think that’s one of the main reasons our relationship works so well. It’s built on a lasting friendship, that started when we were 12 and 13 years old! There isn’t really a date or event that we “met” at. We have grown up together. But, if I had to pick a time when I 100% knew I wanted to pursue what I felt for him, it would be the football game in 2013. After that day, Jesse has had my heart, through great times and through bad times, through loss, through celebrations, through everything! He’s the most loving and the most fun best friend. Through all of life's ups and downs, he has always been there for me- first as a friend, then as a best friend, then as a boyfriend, and now a fiancé! I could not put into words how sweet, thoughtful, loving, and just an all-around great guy Jesse is. He's the best guy I know, and the best guy I've ever met. I think realizing that at 20 years old made me want to always have him by my side! Here's to getting that wish and forever with my best friend!&nbsp;

Where do I start… My life has not been perfect by any means, but through it all Chandler Lee has been involved in some way, shape, form, or fashion. Through starting a new school, death of family and friends, and all the Military experiences, she has always been there to pick me up, as a friend, as a comforter, and as my bride to be. In 2007 when I was in 5th&nbsp;grade, I came to know Chandler as a friend. She was always nice to me, and as the new kid at school, knowing someone that makes you feel accepted is a huge relief. As time ticked on, we became closer. We were both very involved in sports, so we were always cheering each other on - whether I was watching her play volleyball or her cheering for me on the sidelines on Friday nights. There was one instance where myself, Chandler, and another friend were waiting on our brothers to get out of football practice. I invited them to listen to my brother’s radio in his truck. They accepted my invitation and climbed up into the truck. I was a little nervous so of course, I had to show off, and so I turned the music all the way up! I do not remember the song, but what I do remember is Chandler singing every word. She has always brought so much joy and happiness into my life but from that day forward, I knew she had something special. Something far more than just beauty - AND I LIKED IT!!! I came to know Chandler as a comforter around 2009 not long after our radio adventure. Chandler has brought so much meaning to my life by always having confidence in me. She reassured that I would be able to push through any obstacle. She has done more for me that she can imagine. For example, she was one of the first people to show up to my house after my brother passed. She was the first person I called when one of our close friends passed away. She stands beside me through all of my countless military schools and trainings, she has been there for me through promotions and even jumping out of airplanes… she was right there by myside when she did not have to be.&nbsp; I always knew I wanted to marry Chandler - she was so beautiful, so funny and always nice to everyone - She was smart and had direction. She was and still is the whole package. There was this one instance in Tuscaloosa when I came with one of my best friends to a University of Alabama football game. Chan and I had strong feelings for each other, but we had not talked in months - she was a Freshman at Bama and I was still in high school. I will never forget how nervous I was walking up to a college tailgate full of people I didn’t know. And of course, guess who comes to the rescue once again! Chan took me in, introduced me to everyone, and made me feel right at home. She didn’t leave my side until gametime rolled around and we had to go our separate ways. I wasn’t happy we got split up, but I knew that we would meet up later because I was staying with Chase (her brother) and hopefully she would come back there after the game. To make a long story short, our group of friends went to an abandoned hospital in Tuscaloosa - she was scared and clung to me through the whole adventure. To me, from that day on, we have been destined for marriage. We have struggled at times like all relationships do, but we have always came out of any situation better than before. She is an incredible woman and I am beyond blessed to be able to call her my future wife. She has loved me through all life’s burdens and I can honestly say I would not be who I am today without Chandler, She has truly saved me.
