Our Wedding

We like to call ourselves university sweethearts—Greenwich University, to be exact. Who could have guessed that starting at a university neither of us planned on attending, unexpectedly crossing paths in a lift, and constantly running into each other in lectures and on our commute - would lead to a story we never intended to write.Our story began over a decade ago, through a mix of playful excuses and genuine moments, we found countless reasons to spend time together. Chandni didn’t have the textbooks (or so she claimed) for our lectures, so she would borrow mine. I may have exaggerated how much I missed a home-cooked meal, just so I could come over for dinner. And of course, who could forget the timeless “I’m so cold, can I borrow your jacket?”—which somehow, never made its way back to me. Each little moment gave us one more reason to meet, one more reason to laugh, and one more reason to grow closer. What started as curiosity blossomed into a love neither of us could imagine living without. Now, as we prepare to take the next step in our journey, we’re celebrating not just the chapters we’ve written but the incredible future we’re promising each other.For the 2nd time, on 28th July 2026, we will begin the next chapter of our forever story and we’d be honoured to have you there with us to share in the joy. No excuses are needed this time just love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories to come.

Our Story

Getting to Hedsor House Below are a few simple travel options from London to help you plan your journey.🚆 By Public Transport (from London)Hedsor House is easily accessible by train and a short taxi ride.Step 1: Train from LondonTake a direct train from London Paddington to Maidenhead.The journey takes approximately 20–30 minutes.Trains run frequently throughout the day.Step 2: Taxi from MaidenheadFrom Maidenhead Station, Hedsor House is about a 10-minute taxi/uber ride. 🚗 By CarThe drive from London takes around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic.The address is:Hedsor House Hedsor Park Taplow Buckinghamshire SL6 0HX There is ample parking available on site for guests.If using a sat nav, please follow signs for Hedsor Park once nearby, as the entrance is within private grounds. You can pre-book taxis at the venue for your return home or uber (based on my search they cost about £50/£60 for one way to Wembley/Isleworth). First up, the Best Man: Hakim aka Haks. I had no doubts when choosing Haks to be my best man. Whether he’s cracking jokes, spending most of his time on a night out at the bar, or just being unapologetically himself. He’s been a constant in my life for over 15 years and there is no better man for the job. Then there’s the rest of the lineup: Kabeer, Keanu, Selasi, and Zipo. These brothers have also been by my side for over 15 years, and each brings something unique to the group, but one thing for certain you can expect good vibes and plenty of laughs. Thank you all for celebrating with me, catch you in the Motherland!

Du'aine has two incredible sisters, Rechan (Re) and Shantel (Shanny), who—let’s face it—probably love me (Chandni) more than they love him! Growing up as the youngest sibling in a house full of strong, amazing women, D has mastered the art of decoding those unspoken rules:When we say “5 minutes,” it usually means “Give me an hour.”“No” might actually mean “Yes.”And the eternal “What do you want to eat?” is always code for “I’m not sure, what do you fancy?”Rechan, the middle sister, is a free spirit but always keeps things beautifully organized. Shanny, on the other hand, is the go-getter and the ultimate planner.Together the three of them cause absolute mayhem!But if you need information, or clarification about one of the wedding events, don’t hesitate to reach out to one of his sisters—they’ve got you covered! The Patels: A Force to Be Reckoned With One thing’s for sure: if you mess with one Patel, you mess with them all. These siblings are a dynamic trio bound by unshakable loyalty and love. There's Shyam (Shammo), the cool, calm, and collected eldest brother; Sunil (Sunny), the spirited middle brother and life of the party; and, of course, Chandni (Channo)—the "little barking Chihuahua," the bride, and the fiercely protective little hen of the family. Together, they’re an unstoppable team—better to have on your side because, trust me, you don’t want to cross them. Cheers to the Patels, a sibling squad like no other!

The Siblings

Maid of Honour:Rebecca aka, work wife, tea partner, snack forager and sweet treats feeder. She has the biggest heart and a spirit of adventure that always leads to fun (even if we get hopelessly lost along the way). I then have my beautiful bridesmaids! First up is my older sister, Janki - we look so alike that you might get us confused on the big day—but just remember, I’ll be the one in the white dress! With her eye for detail, she keeps everything in check. Then there’s my lovely duo, Jay and Jayna, my childhood sweethearts. Together, they keep me grounded with the perfect balance of fun, food and a little bit of tough love. And last, but never least, we have Rechan - straight-talking, no-nonsense, and exactly what I need. Though she prefers to stay out of the limelight, she has graciously stepped into the spotlight—not just as the groom’s sister, but as a bridesmaid too. With this incredible squad by my side, I know I’m in the safest of hands!
