Chaney and Trenton attended the same schools and grew up approximately fifteen minutes from each other. The funny thing is they never interacted until after Trenton moved eight hours away to go to college. He was bored one night and decided to reach out to her via Snapchat. They chatted on social media here and there, and when he came home to visit, they made plans to hang out. But Chaney wasn't sure where she was going to go to college and told Trenton she was only interested in being friends. Until, he showed up at Laramie Peak Humane Society unannounced and asked to see the dogs. Well, Chaney worked there, and everyone knows dogs are the way to her heart. Trenton also sent frequent photos of the dog (Shadow) his family had rescued to show Chaney that he was a caring guy with a big heart. Chaney started to like Trenton more and more, but the eight-hour drive between their colleges seemed daunting. But after a week together, they were inseparable. They began dating on June 12th, of 2019. They spent every moment they could together. In August, Trenton went back to Nebraska for college, and Chaney moved to Casper, WY, to begin her college career too. But the world shut down that spring, which led both Chaney and Trenton to be kicked out of the dorms and sent back to their hometown. They decided being together every day was more fun and made a plan to move in together for Trenton's last year of college. Some people thought they were crazy, but they made it work. So with their first dog named Barrett, they packed their things and moved to Seward, NE. And when Trenton graduated, they moved to Omaha for his first teaching job. When living in Omaha, Chaney finished her Bachelor's degree. The next move was going to be wherever Chaney got into graduate school. Trenton and Chaney found themselves moving back to Wyoming. They bought a house in Casper, where they currently reside. They still have Barrett, and they added Benny (cat) and Roxanne (dog) to their family. Trenton works as a special education teacher, and Chaney is working as a school counselor. They love the life they have created, and being close to family and friends is a major plus. They look forward to celebrating their love with many of the meaningful people in their lives.
