September 2013, we were at a dance event and he was standing at the bar getting a drink and I walked up and I made a comment to him about his Texas Longhorn shirt. It was college night. We flirted and that was it that night. We didn't even dance that night.

Then we tried to do a dinner and I wasn't in the correct head space and we didn't connect. Life and raising kids to adults took over for me. We would communicate on each other's Facebook post, happy birthday here and there and commenting on kids accomplishments and see each other out dancing. We always flirted but we never did anything about it. He was always a good guy and didn't hear anything negative about him. But my healing needed to happen.

Then 2019, I went to a day party and walking around the room there he was standing there in all orange and for some reason I saw him different. We both spoke but he was on my mind. Then a week later a picture of us dancing came up in a Facebook memory and I sent it to him to ask him if he remembers this. He replied and we started talking and decided to meet up for drinks. We were in a relationship a week later and have been together since. He told me to let love win with him. This became our hashtag. We are literally each other's souls mate.
