Chantal met Corey on a blind date in November of 2014 while in Clinton attending school.It was an unconventional kind of date but it resulted in a funny story for us to share with our friends and family.

It started off with Corey picking Chantal up and driving to London for our dinner at the Mandarin. They were both a little rusty when it came to the dating scene so Chantal, being as nervous as she was, kept rambling on (likely embarrassing herself) the entire way down. At dinner, Corey tried impressing Chantal by eating seafood (for anyone who knows Corey, you know how much he loves it..) and that resulted in Chantal laughing as he tried his hardest to force it down.

Next, they had decided on seeing a movie so bought tickets but while they were waiting in the parking lot for the movie to start, they decided, on a whim, to go meet Corey's friends instead. They were an interesting group to say the least but they welcomed Chantal with open arms.

The night ended with Corey dropping Chantal off back at home and Chantal chickening out and running off before they could share their first kiss.

They are a little puzzled themselves, that such a dysfunctional sounding first date lead to many happy memories for them. They have been inseparable ever since. They survived the long distance relationship and the other ups and downs of the new relationship and getting to know one another. It's been over three years now and they are excited to be planning their wedding in August of 2017.
