Here are some quintessential VT summer activities if you plan on extending your trip. We will have plenty of activities onsite at Hosmer Point camp to keep everyone entertained throughout the wedding weekend but feel free to sneak any of these in as well.
Captain Steve (Chantel's Dad) would love to take people out for a sail on beautiful Lake Champlain the week before or after the wedding. Don't miss out on a waterfront sunset.
There are so many tasty breweries in VT. Put together a brewery tour in Burlington or checkout some of our favorites below after hiking/biking.
30 minutes from Hosmer Point, an internationally acclaimed brewery! Try the Edward.
Checkout the Mad River Valley. Go mountain biking from American Flatbread, get some pizza, and treat yourself to a Sip of Sunshine on the way home!
Try the famous Heady Topper and go for a hike/mountain bike in Stowe!
Checkout the Burlington waterfront, Church Street, or run/bike on the causeway and stop in at Foam Brewers or the neighboring Skinny Pancake for crepes.
Try a famous VT maple creemee! Our favorite is at Palmer Lane in Chantel's hometown. Don't skip on the maple candy sprinkles :)
Check out your favorite trail map for all of the mountain biking trail hubs. Here are a few of our favorites. Get stoked for some rooty, rocky VT riding. Remember to check trail conditions if it has been wet.
Checkout some of the awesome local mountain biking/hiking trails 15 minutes from where Chantel & Jack grew up.
Head to kingdom trails for some mountain biking before or after the wedding weekend for 100+ miles of trails ~45 minutes from Hosmer Point. Checkout Lake Willoughby while you are there.
Checkout Stowe, go mountain biking, and enjoy a post ride slice at Piecasso with a Heady Topper.
One of our favorite hikes right in Jack's backyard. Drive to the end of Camel's Hump Rd in Huntington and hike Burrow's Trail, ~5 miles out and back for a beautiful VT view.
There are multiple hikes to checkout the highest peak in VT. One of our favorites is the Sunset Ridge hike from Underhill. Don't forget a post hike maple creemee at Palmer's Lane in Jericho.
