Chantelle and Stephen met in 2018 in Miramichi, New Brunswick at the Canadian Curling Traveler's Competition. After a week of many drinks and even more memories, Chantelle and Stephen returned to their homes and continued to keep in touch. With a whirlwind meetup in Las Vegas and a much longer and sweeter trip to Tulum, Mexico in April 2019, they decided to make things official.

Fast forward to January, 2020 and after a Christmas visit to Newfoundland, Stephen and Chantelle learned their family would be growing by one. Chantelle had been living in Edmonton going to school when in March, 2020, the pandemic hit. After a lot of paperwork and convincing the NWT Government that their relationship was legit, Chantelle was able to (temporarily) move to the NWT for family reunification. The plan had always been to end up there, things just happened a bit quicker with Covid speeding things up.

In September, 2020, Otis was born and the family was officially complete. Two wild dogs and a very charismatic, silly and sweet little boy. The last 3 years have been an absolute gift and we are so lucky to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. On July 1st, 2023, Stephen (very surprisingly) popped the question at Reid Like in campsite B12. It will forever have a very special place in our hearts.
