Jared and Charlee’s story began in 2021 during their time at Florida State University. Although they both called Tallahassee home, it wasn’t for three years until they met at an internship. The two sat across from one another sharing inside jokes and quick glances, never fully realizing what was right in front of them. As their friendship grew stronger, it became clear that the two were excited to share every moment that they could together.

On July 4th 2022, Jared told Charlee that he loved her and luckily for him, she was quick to reciprocate that same adoration. Soon after, he took a trip to Sarasota to meet the Ruths’ for dinner at this very spot - Laurel Oak Country Club. After a successful evening meeting the parents, Jared worked up the courage to ask Charlee to be his girlfriend on an early morning run. A week later, Charlee had the chance to meet Jared’s parents in Tallahassee, solidifying the longevity of their relationship.

From running a half marathon to navigating their post-grad job hunts, that following year was filled with lots of adventure and excitement for the couple. The week prior to Charlee’s college graduation in 2022, both Jared and Charlee accepted new jobs - Charlee’s remote and Jared’s in Alexandria, VA, marking the next chapter of their lives together in a new city. After one week of living together, Jared knew he couldn’t wait any longer to propose to the love of his life. On their one-year anniversary, Jared popped the question and the rest is history!
