From humble beginnings, Charlie and Carrie met in a frat house basement in January 2017 and began hanging out together on weekends. Right before the spring semester ended, Charlie and Carrie made it official on April 28, 2017. They visited each other often over the summertime, as Charlie was still living with his parents in Herndon, VA and Carrie was living with her parents as well, in Kennedy, NY.

When the fall semester began, Carrie and Charlie continued their studies in accounting and civil engineering, respectively, and tried their best to take some classes together such as snowboarding, principles of biology and weight lifting. Carrie graduated in May 2018 and moved to Rochester, NY shortly after, meanwhile Charlie moved to State College, PA to finish his degree at the main campus.

Charlie and Carrie visited each other every month, alternating between Rochester and State College. They enjoyed the local vibe of Rochester and tailgating at the Penn State Beaver stadium. They continued this long-distance relationship of sorts until March 2020 when COVID-19 began, when Charlie was forced to finish his degree online and Carrie moved in with Charlie and his folks in Herndon, VA.

Charlie and Carrie continued to live with Marty and Noriko until February 2021, when they bought their first home together in Rockville, MD where there currently live with two, wild, rescue pups.

On December 5th, 2021, Charlie proposed to Carrie after she came home after a pedicure. She pulled into the driveway and Charlie was waiting in the backyard for her with a trail of candles leading into the backyard, where he had lit over 100 tea light candles. In the middle of the backyard was a heart of tea light candles and two wine glasses with champagne. Charlie opened up the shed and Leo came bolting out with a red ribbon around his collar, with a ring tied to it. Charlie dropped down on one knee and proposed. Carrie said f*ck yes!
