Charles and Elizabeth met one night in Spring 2021 at their mutual friend Jason's going away party. A few days after, Elizabeth made the first move and commented on Charles' Instagram story about karaoke. The two messaged back and forth and hit it off. They went on their first date shortly after on April 17, 2021. Their first date was at a tucked away speakeasy, Eleanor's, and the date night was capped off by joining friends for some late night karaoke.


Fast forward 2 and half years to the winter of 2023. Charles and Elizabeth were headed to their favorite Christmas tradition, seeing the Christmas lights in the Atlanta Botanical garden. As they enjoyed their time looking at the lights, they neared the end of the gardens and entered the last tunnel of lights. Upon reaching the middle of the tunnel, Charles knelt down and proposed to Elizabeth. She said Yes and the rest is history.
