Charles and Kate met in a little more of an unorthodox way. Kate's brother started a WhatsApp group of some amazing individuals that he had met online through writing communities and such. He had been telling Kate about this group, and specifically about this really wonderful guy named Charles. Kate was a little reluctant to join at first, seeing as how she did not feel that a group of intellectual writers would necessarily want her in this group. Man oh man, is she ecstatic that she came around and ended up joining the group! Kate and Charles began to talk in a group setting, then eventually she mustered the courage to private message him and PRAY he would respond. HE DID! Their love story started based on really getting to know each other before entering the hard part- long distance.

Charles lived in Memphis and Kate lived in Louisiana. They began to defy the odds, traveling back and forth to see each other. Charles and Kate took every opportunity that they had to make the effort to see one another. When they werent together, Kate and Livy would watch his streams online. Livy even coined the nick name Charlesy while watching one of his streams! They would stay on the phone for hours. Kate would consistently fall asleep on the phone, Charles would patiently wait until she was sound asleep because she would fight tooth and nail if he tried to get off the phone sooner so she could actually get some sleep. Their love grew deeper and deeper as they faced the regular challenges of relationships, along with long distance and the death of Kates father.

Charles decided to do the kindest, most romantic gesture and move to Louisiana to be with Kate and Livy. But before making the big move, he proposed and OF COURSE Kate said yes! Since the move, their lives have really seemed to fall into place.
