Charlette and Quinn’s story begins 5 years back, with Charlette finishing her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at The University of Scranton and Quinn at Penn State studying the clouds. One weekend, Charlette traveled to Penn State with her best friend Maura, who was dating Quinn’s best friend Zach who also studied the clouds. At the time Charlette was single but Quinn was not. It was common that people would park their cars at Quinn’s apartment during football games because the ample parking he had. For this particular game, Maura and Charlette car pooled and parked their car at Quinn’s apartment. After a long drive to Penn State, Charlette asked Maura to use the Quinn's apartment bathroom. However, no single ladies were allowed into Quinn’s apartment. Just feet away from each other, their story wouldn’t continue for another year later…

Maura with her sly ways was able to find out when Quinn's status had been set to "available" and set up our first double date. After a night of bowling and laughter, we knew this wouldn't be our last outing together. We talked the whole time on our respective drives home, one to Scranton, PA, and the other to Silver Springs, MD. After a discussion of the willingness to partake in a long distance relationship the plans were set to meet up again soon.

One warm Saturday, Charlette's friend Sebastian had contacted her to ask if she would pose for a photoshoot she had in mind. After telling her what to where and where to meet, she scolded him reminding her she had dinner plans that night and that he wasn't to be late. Upon arrival to Buttermilk Falls in Bear Creek, PA, Charlette was astonished Sebastian had found the place that she and Quinn had hiked at about a year ago. nothing fishy seemed to cross her mind at first, for she was becoming anxious with her friend's lateness. As her best friend's car pulled up she had no clue, as it wasn't Sebastian's car. When her brother's car pulled up she was still unaware of what was unfolding around her. It wasn't until Quinn pried her attention from the road to walk towards the waterfall she began contemplating something else may be happening here. Once Quinn started fussing and stated "Doesn't that rock look nice?" that she was wondering if he was about to pop the question, or simply get down on one knee and tie his shoe, again. Once he collected himself and took her hand asking if she would make him the happiest man, she couldn't help but wonder if he was pulling her leg.. . but he pulled out a ring and with a shaky hand and a gigantic smile she was able to squeal out a "YES!!"
