Charlie and Rob met via how most people nowadays meet: the Internet. They both had grown tired of using certain websites we wont mention that are known for swiping left and right to meet people and decided to look into Facebook Dating. Both had hearted each other and Rob took the initial plunge by sending Charlie a message first. Charlie thought Rob was very respectful compared to previous people she had talked to, and the conversations grew longer and longer.

At the time Rob was living in Houston but planning on moving into the DFW area for a job relocation. They moved from chatting primarily via the Facebook Dating app to texting, to video calls within the 2 plus weeks before they met. When they finally did meet in mid September, it felt as if they had known each other much longer.

Their love grew over rock concerts and tattoos to trying out new food to adventures with their children such as gokarting, zip lining, and paint balling. Rob has two boys, ages 15 and 14, and Charlie has two girls ages 12 and 5, so finding things they all enjoy has been challenging but memorable. Thankfully everyone gets along for the most part.

Rob was secretly planning a proposal with the help of his future stepdaughter Brooke. Charlie had somewhat of an idea because she did get to pick her ring out but had no idea of when he was going to propose. He chose to do it over Christmas at her moms house and all of Charlies family and her best friend since the 5th grade got to be a part of it.

They both are so excited as you join them as they say I do in October 2024!!
