We have purchased custom black and white masks with our initials and wedding date, but a few guests have already requested links to options that will match their outfit:
Powecom KN95: (good color selection)
Wellbefore KF95: (color and size selection)
POSH KF94: (huge pattern selection)
MaskC KN95: (variety color packs to find the perfect shade) **taking over a month to get my order in because they didn’t actually have masks in-stock that they claimed to have.
1. Local guests: coordinate with us on this form to help get you your tests.
2. Order some for free from the government.
3. Arrive before 5 pm on 3/8/25 in order to have plenty of time for your results.
1) Getting married
2) Creating meaningful memories with family & friends
3) Reducing the spread of Covid and other viruses at our wedding
Because of Covid and its associated risks, we seriously thought about eloping, but we sincerely want to share our love with those we love. We would not ask you to do anything that we ourselves are not doing. So to help us fully enjoy our big day, let's come together as cherished family and friends to take care of one another by masking up and getting tested.
We understand that Covid precautions might not have been on your mind in quite some time and we really appreciate you working with us to achieve our goals for our big day.
Be cautious. Be aware. Be courteous.
A month before the wedding, we will share a comprehensive list of updated Covid safety do's and don't's with the understanding that we will all do as much as we can. If you are flying in for our wedding, we've found an N95 mask keeps us safe in our travels.
Two weeks before the wedding, we ask that you exercise some of the same behaviors we've been practicing--avoiding large gatherings and indoor dining, masking while running errands and everywhere else you can.
We understand the commitment this entails and that no one is perfect, but we hope to see you there whether in person or online as we will be offering a livestream to those of you who can't make it (for whatever reason).
KN95 Respirator masks will be provided to each wedding guest
to ensure there's not an outbreak at our wedding.
To us, being aware looks like taking Covid tests, tracking any symptoms you might have, knowing if cases are up in your area, and being aware of any illness or symptoms of people in your daily life (i.e. coworkers, family, etc.)
We have allocated part of our wedding budget to provide Covid tests to our cherished guests. Unfortunately, the tests available are unable to keep up with the ever-mutating virus variants and that's why we are having other precautions in place beyond testing.
Test Sensitivity. How to test.
In addition to providing tests and masks, we ask that everyone invited takes the time to be honest with themselves and with us.
We understand talking about Covid-19 and illness in general inspires a wide range of reactions. We have both been dealing with other people's reactions for over 4 years and are asking for courteous compliance on our big day. This is a decision that we have spent a lot of time thinking about. We have committed a lot of resources and effort to enjoying this day with our friends and family while also ensuring that we can celebrate safely.
Do not pressure the bride or groom to remove their mask at any point on their own wedding day.
This courtesy extends to all of our guests and vendors.
We've taken the time to ensure that everyone will have the opportunity to take a mask-free professional portrait with our photographer as a memento of our big day.
You can ask us clarifying, good-faith questions about our decision to have a Covid-safer event
before the wedding. We will gladly answer questions regarding how to help us achieve this goal, but we will not respond to any comments about this decision on our big day.
Thank you so much for hearing us out and respecting our decisions. We're not trying to be bridezilla or groomothra, we just want to celebrate safely with the people we love.
And if you wake up in early March feeling under the weather, we want you there virtually on our livestream because we love you!
