Wedding Day Dress Code

Wedding Day Dress Code - Formal

Our talented photographer Carlien has requested we please aim for the group to dress in neutral colours that look in place in the beautiful safari locations the wedding will be hosted in, we would hugely appreciate your help with this and have created a guide below.

Formal Safari - This will be a very dressy event, (please NO jeans or tees or shorts), for the guys collared long sleeve shirts, jackets if you like, and for the ladies you can go as all out glamorous as you feel inspired to..

Colours - Neutrals and Soft Colours

Beige, tans, oatmeal, blues, greens, soft florals, soft pale pinks and purples and similar.. Please NO brights like red, orange, hot pink etc..

Shoes - Formal but comfortable

Dress shoes or similar for the lads.

For the ladies expect to walk on sand, stones, open grassland, stone pathways, and wooden decks. There is a smooth floor at reception and a smooth dance floor. Super high stilettos are not recommended. There is plenty of space in the safari vehicles so you can always bring a bag with options if you want your wild heels and a backup plan.

Temperature

It will likely be mid 20s during the day so dress for summer, bring a warm jersey for the evening, particularly for the drive back to the lodge.

Other notes

Spray your feet with bug spray for the sand fleas, sunnies are a good idea, sunscreen.. The lodge is around a 1hr 4x4 Safari drive from the wedding location and there won't be a returning vehicle until after the reception when all guests return to the lodge so bring what you need with you:

- Medication

- Spare shoes, warm or spare clothes, makeup touch ups, etc

Colours

We kindly request to please avoid.. red, orange, bright yellow, hot pink or bold patterns. The below colours are not required, just an idea of neutrals and soft colours that could work, dress in what suits you and makes you feel good, rather be comfortable to eat, drink and dance the night away.
