In fall of 2023, Charlotte came across Jake's profile in Hinge, a popular dating app. After spending too long being too nervous to swipe, Charlotte finally sent Jake a like. The two instantly bonded over books, and spent a few weeks texting before getting together for their first date -- axe-throwing. Several more dates followed, including dinners, concerts, book shopping, hockey games, and of course, ice-fishing.


Over the next couple of years, their relationship grew and they had many adventures. They traveled with each other, hiked together down in New Hampshire and across Maine, explored any new bookstore they could find, went to church together, and supported each other in pursuing their goals; for Jake, refereeing hockey, and Charlotte, writing. Then, Jake popped the big question on the top of Rumford Whitecap in August, 2023.


Now, Jake and Charlotte are ready to start their next chapter, this time, as husband and wife!
