What is the dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is formal. The groomsmen will be in tuxs and the bridesmaids are wearing black.
We recommend that men wear a suit and tie in any color, while women may choose a cocktail, midi, or maxi dress—or even a stylish pantsuit.
As the wedding date approaches, we will keep our guests informed about the weather, but please note that the ceremony will take place outdoors. The cocktail hour will be indoors, and the reception will be held under a tent, equipped with heaters in case the temperature drops.
What is the weather like in Athens in December?
In December, Athens typically experiences daytime temperatures that usually range from the mid-40s to low 50s, but it's not uncommon for it to warm up into the 60s or even 70s during the day. We recommend bringing a coat in case the temperature drops during the reception. For your convenience, we’ll have coat racks available to store your jacket.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
While we do love your children, we are kindly requesting that only invited children attend the wedding. Your invitation will be made out to "The {Your Last Name} Family" if your children have been invited and "Mr. & Mrs." if only you and your significant other have been invited.
We understand that childcare can be tricky, so we recommend looking into local babysitting services to ensure you can fully enjoy the event. If you need any recommendations, feel free to reach out!
Can I bring a plus one?
Only guests listed on your invitation are invited to attend. If you’re unsure about your invitation details, please feel free to reach out and we’ll be happy to clarify.
Is there a hotel block reserved for your wedding?
We’ve reserved a hotel block at the Hotel Indigo in downtown Athens. For booking details, please visit the "Travel" tab on our website. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Charlotte or Conner via text!
What time does the wedding ceremony start?
Our ceremony will be held at promptly 2 in the afternoon with a cocktail hour immediately following. Please plan to arrive around 1:30 to ensure you have plenty of time to be seated.
Where will the ceremony and reception be held?
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the Taylor Grady house in Athens, Georgia. The address for the venue is 634 Prince Ave, Athens, GA 30601.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there is a parking lot located next door and across the street to the venue for your convenience. Since we’ll be serving alcohol, we highly recommend arranging for a designated driver if you plan on drinking.
Because our venue does not have a place to turn around, ride-share drop-off and pick-up will be located at
Cobbham Triangle Park,
695 Prince Avenue
Parking will also available at the following
locations and will be marked with
event parking signs:
Clarke County School District
Live-point Dental Office
740 Prince Medical Commons
What if I do not RSVP in time?
If you do not RSVP in time, you will be marked as "not attending." We would love celebrating with you; however, we have to provide an exact guest count to our vendors and cannot accept late RSVPs.
