We met in Omaha over the holidays in December/January 2021 and continued to talk for four months. In April 2021, we finally went on several dates while Lucas was in Omaha celebrating Easter.

Charlotte moved from Omaha to Tucson, Arizona for graduate school! We continued to talk almost every day from April until August of 2021, when Lucas asked Charlotte out. In September, Lucas made his first trip out to Tucson to visit Charlotte.

Then, in November, Charlotte returned the favor and visited him in Denver.

Over the holiday break of 21/22, Lucas took Charlotte skiing for the first time. She was a bit bruised, but had lots of fun. Lucas planted the idea of her moving to Denver after graduate school.

We spent our first birthday together in Tucson! Our birthdays are just one day apart.

Charlotte went to Omaha for the summer to complete a clinical internship, and Lucas came to visit.

Over the holiday weekend, Charlotte traveled to Denver and visited Lucas.

Then, it was time to drive back to Tucson to start her second year of graduate school. Of course, she had to stop in Denver and spend time with Lucas first.

Lucas helped Charlotte get home for Thanksgiving, and we spent the holiday with both sides of the family and friends.

We spent another birthday together! Lucas earned a work retreat at a resort in Tucson, and Charlotte was lucky enough to join him for part of it. The only sad part about this birthday was getting kicked off of our parents' insurance plans.

Charlotte finally finished her master's program, and Lucas came to celebrate. It was the start of a new chapter.

We were finally in Denver together and able to go on weekend trips to the mountains...

...and, of course, attend Red Rocks concerts.

We felt pretty fancy at the PwC holiday party at Empower Field. Soon after this, we decided it was time to go ring shopping.

Lucas proposed to Charlotte on her birthday! She was convinced the ski trip was solely planned around both birthdays and had no idea that he brought in friends and family from all over the country for the surprise. At first, she thought Lucas lost his contact in the snow when he dropped to his knee to propose. After she realized what was happening, she blacked out. Thankfully she still managed to say yes!
