Our Story

For Charmaine and Wayne, church was what first brought them together. Both their parents were actively involved members at Revivaltime Tabernacle church, which provided plenty of opportunities to interact with each other. Their families were very close from early on. Fast forward to age 16. The twinkle in each other's eyes could not be ignored any longer as intensely beautiful feelings for each other fueled the beginning of their dating years. Unfortunately, as life happened, they decided to part ways to pursue higher learning and ultimately follow their career paths. Throughout the years Charmaine and Wayne would run into each other on various occasions. In 2015, Charmaine's beloved aunt passed away and Wayne would be in attendance at the funeral. Little did they know this would be the reason that brought them towards the journey to "Happily Ever After".

Charmaine and Wayne will forever be thankful for the moment that reconnected their hearts back together again. Living proof of God's perfect timing. Yes! It takes a lot of faith but absolutely worth the wait.

What do you love most about your partner?

Charmaine: “With you, I laugh louder, and smile more. I love that you make traveling and spending time with our family and friends a priority! You are a great listener and always provide support. Not sure how you do it, but you always manage to stay calm in every situation. You are so chill, so handsome and so genuinely kind and you make sure that everyone who means anything to me feels that kindness”.

Wayne: “You make me feel that I am the reason behind your amazing smile. You are my best friend. The Yin to my Yang. I feel secure in knowing that you care about how I feel. You are the most beautiful woman in the world to me and even when you are in the next room, I miss you! Your dreams are my dreams, and you are always supportive in helping me accomplish my goals. I love how you are able to make me laugh even when the situation shouldn’t be funny. You don’t just tell me you love me; you show me every day”.

Your best relationship advice?

Charmaine: “Always put God first. Take responsibility. Choose each other daily. Saying and doing small things for each other goes a long way!

Wayne: “Always communicate. Be willing to forgive. God must be your foundation. Honesty, trust, and gratitude must be your center. Put in the work to keep the fire burning!”
