Ours is a story of the Lord's exceptional kindness and provision.

It is a testament to the fruit of faithful prayer from a loving community.

We walked as friends in the faith for many years. Some of our favorite shared memories are the many nights gathered at the Ledford House for long chats about Jesus and intense games of "ping around the table."

Our parents have been in kahoots over how perfect we would be for one another for years, and Chase was finally let in on that secret in October 2024. Come to find out, much of our church community had been thinking and praying the same thing. He prayerfully considered the possibility before asking me on a date in the middle of a 4-hour car ride together.

Our first date was spent at my church's Night of Hymns and watching airplanes. It was encouraging to find that a date was just as sweet and simple as all of our other interactions. From that night on, we have continued taking faithful steps forward, enjoying our time more and more all along the way.

Chase proposed on July 3rd, 2025, in the pitch-black dark in the middle of the woods. He distracted me with binoculars and fireworks while he fished the ring out of his backpack. It was on that day that he asked me if I would be willing to follow Jesus with him for the rest of our lives.

Again and again, the Lord has affirmed our relationship. Through the loving and cheerful response of our community. Through the ease and comfort of our interactions. Through wide open doors. Through hearts bent toward and excited about the same things. But most of all, the Lord has affirmed our relationship by giving us the feeling of home in one another. For those of you who know us, you understand there is nothing quite as sweet as that.

It is with profound gratitude that we step forward into marriage. We covet your prayers, that in so doing, we will both come to love the Lord and one another more fully.
