Chase and I met in February of 2021 during spring homecoming week at Austin Peay. If you ask him, he will say I tricked him into giving me his number. I don't quite remember it that way haha. That whole week was a blur between working on a homecoming float and doing school work. Chase bought me dinner and we instantly became friends, because food...duh. I hung out with him and his fraternity brothers all week while juggling the long drive to and from school. I remember working on homework in his room (the only quiet area of the house during homecoming week). He walked in to to talk to me, kissed me, and the rest is history.

It's hard to detail our story from that point on. He became my best friend and the one I loved to be around the most. I fell more in love with him day by day watching just how perfectly he fit in with my family... it's never better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission btw. He has his own inside jokes with my little cousins and my sweet Mamaw Linda called him her boyfriend during the little over two years that she got to know him. I knew he was my person when he was by my side no matter what during the hardest moment of my life as I watched my Mamaw Linda's condition get worse and ultimately go and meet with our heavenly father. He was my support system and the one who kept my head above water. For that, I am forever grateful.

Chase has brought me my best friends. His friend group immediately accepted me and made me feel included from the very beginning. Not only have the guys accepted me, but they have brought me the best group of girlfriends between wives, fiancés, and girlfriends. Forever thankful for the bond that we all have and the constant support of each other. His family has also accepted me from the very beginning and have treated me like I am their own. There aren't enough words to say how lucky I am.

Fast forward a few years - July 12th, 2025, Chase asked me to marry him and be his forever. While I said "Yes" - I really wanted to say "It's about time!" I am forever grateful for the life that I get to live with my best friend and can't wait for this next chapter of our lives together!
