WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

This is a semi-formal event on a beautiful mountain, so we recommend dressing to impress and be ready to enjoy the views! Ladies, consider bringing walking shoes in addition to heels—trust us, you'll want to be comfortable as you take in the scenery. Wedges are a great option for hill walking, too!

What if I can make the ceremony, but am not available for the whole weekend?

We completely understand that schedules can be busy. While we would love to have you join us for the entire weekend, we understand if you're only able to attend certain parts. Your presence at the ceremony means the world to us, and we appreciate any time you're able to spend celebrating with us.

Can I book activities and excursions during my stay?

Absolutely! There are plenty of exciting activities and excursions available in the area. Check out the Nantahala Weddings' website for activities close by. https://nantahalaweddings.com/outdoor-activities-lake-nantahala/

What are the nearest airports to the venue?

The nearest airport to Nantahala is Knoxville (TYS) Airport which is 40.4 miles away. Other nearby airports include Asheville (AVL) (64.8 miles), Greenville/Spartanburg (GSP) (86.9 miles) and Atlanta (ATL) (122.9 miles) Transportation from the airport will not be provided. However, a shuttle service will run for the nearby hotel and surrounding vacation rentals for the wedding day.

Are children welcome at the wedding?

While we adore children, we've decided to keep this event adults-only to ensure everyone can relax and enjoy themselves without distractions. We understand this is a big ask, and appreciate you being flexible and making it work.

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to limited space, we kindly request that only invited guests attend the wedding. If you have any questions regarding your invitation, please reach out to us directly.

Who can I contact if I have more questions?

If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to Kelly and Rhyan directly.

What if I missed the March 1st RSVP deadline?

We’re sorry, but we won’t be able to accommodate late RSVPs. We need to have our final guest count by March 1st to make sure everything is set for the big day. We’ll miss having you there, and we hope to celebrate with you in other ways soon!

What should I expect for weather?

You can expect daytime high in the 70's and evening lows in the 50's. The ceremony and reception will take place outside, so please prepare accordingly.

Driving Instructions

Enter this address for your GPS, 16121 Wayah Road in Topton, NC 28781. Cell service doesn’t work once you get to the mountains. As a precaution, you might want to print out directions to your vacation home, and make sure you have a contact number and any gate or other codes written down. You can always make Wi-Fi calls from the Nantahala Weddings Venue; remember to ensure “wifi calling” is activated in your phone settings. If you’re coming from the east (Asheville), take the route through Bryson City rather than Franklin – even if your GPS tells you otherwise. It’s an easier drive. If you’re coming from the South (Atlanta), take the route through Murphy rather than Franklin for the same reason. If you’re coming from the west, try to avoid the Tail of the Dragon.

Parking Instructions

When you arrive at Nantahala Weddings, park in the area to the left of the Nantahala Weddings sign. Make sure to park perpendicular to the road. If you are unable to walk up the 300-foot path to the ceremony, there will be a “Shuttle Stop” sign and a bench set up in the half-circle parking lot for you. Wait there until the 4WD Polaris arrives to take you to the ceremony.
