Our Wedding

Our Story

Our journey would first start while Chase was finishing his last year at CBU in the Spring semester of 2019. This is where he was first introduced to Rachel, as she had just transfered from Fresno Pacific University. As fate would have it, Rachel was placed in many of the same ensembles that Chase had been apart of for many years, even having them sitting right next to each other for the Universtiy's Choir and Orchestra. Despite the close quaters between the two and sharred friend groups that they where apart of, their relationship remained as just acquaintances ending with Chase graduating and Rachel continuing her education.

In a seemingly spontaneous turn of events, Chase had been invited to go to an alumni basketball game with his good friend Ethan in February of 2020. This is where our couple would be reconnected and the pursuit for each other would ultimately start, not knowing what would happen in the coming weeks. The two had their first date which included some of their favorite shared cuisine, a boba run where they had first had their reconnection and a last stop at Downtown Disney District. From that day on, they shared in a few more great memories before being split apart by the Covid 19 outbreak and the nation's shut down.

Not knowing it at the time, this was going to be the greatest test for the couple in the very early part of their relationship. Rachel would return to Yuba City amongst the shut down of school leaving Chase in Southern California. This didn't put a hold on their relationship however. Like many people did during the pandemic, they turned to the Zoom platform, having frequent meetings almost nightly to hangout, talk or even watch movies. This is where the couple would learn the most about each other despite the distance and physical contact. Eventually as restrictions and guidelines were starting to loosen, the couple made trips both North and South where they were finally able to meet back up and reconnect. The two can both attest to the awkwardness of knowing everything about each other, but hardly having any time really spent physically together. This would quickly subside after the first couple of trips and ultimately disappear with Rachel returning to school in the 2022 school year.

From this point the story continues as their love grew for each other more and more as exciting events were happening. Rachel would end up graduating from CBU with her Bachelors in Music Education, and Chase would obtain his EMT license, beginning a career in the Emergency Medical Services field. The couple both have had exciting opportunities be opened to them and being able to live through them together have only deepened their love and wanting to be with each other more and more. Finally, in December of 2023, Chase would ask Rachel to marry him at one of the places they had some of their first memories at. The rest sort of remains history, as the couple are continuing in their respective careers as they anticipate the excitement and love that will come from their special day with all their family and friends.
