The invisible string theory... where two people are destined to be together regardless of the amount of time that's passed, distance apart or obstacles faced along the way.

Billy is my invisible string. We met in 2011 at Audubon High School, in Spanish class to be exact. Billy had a girlfriend, that wasn't me; however, as he would like to put it "that did not stop Chasie!" He was the cute boy on the wrestling team, what can I say.

That following year, I moved to Virginia. Billy and I lost touch, only the occasional social media stalk here and there over the span of 10 years.

In 2021, September 21st, a wild Chasie (who was living in the city with 3 of her best friends) and a sweet Billy (who was living with his best friend in Collingswood) ran into each other at an Eagles tailgate- what a place to reconnect!

The word "hi" couldn't even come out of my mouth. My heart dropped. I was so surprised to see him. The only reason I was able to some how approach him was because we had been drinking for quite a bit before then, giving me liquid courage. We chatted for a little, then we all as a group made our way over to Chicke & Pete's. I sat right on next to him, then snuck out to go meet my girl friends in Center City.

After some text messages back and forth for a couple weeks, Billy and I started to hang out regularly (by reguarly I mean only on the weekends, barely even spoke to each other to be honest); however, I had the biggest crush on him.

He did not like me back. He says now he did, but at the time, he did not want a girlfriend, which means he did not like me.

After years of back and forth, many city nights with my girls and pub nights with his boys, Billy made his little way back to me. Liking an Instagram story on November 2, 2022. Naturally, like any girl, I texted him and said "why did you like my story?" and he said "you look pretty" and admitted he missed me. Well, attempting to be tough, I said I didn't like him anymore.

I pretended for a while that I did not like him, because he didn't like me back way back when, then I caved in January 2023... when my Jersey boy asked me on a date in the city (he hated coming to the city), McGillians to be exact, and confessed his love for me.

Now, we are getting married.
